Contract DetailsPermanent, working 35 hours per week Salary and Benefits£27,401 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working LocationManchester (The role will be based at the Manchester office; however, we operate a hybrid working model supporting remote work combined with regular on-site contact days, typically 1-2 days a week) Job OverviewWe are seeking a professional HR Assistant to join our small, friendly HR Service Centre team. The role involves: Being the first point of contact for internal HR inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face Handling HR administration tasks such as processing onboarding, preparing offer letters, employment contracts, contractual changes, and references Maintaining and updating HR system data Supporting broader HR functions with administrative tasks Posting vacancies on our recruitment portal and other platforms, managing interview setups and system maintenance Candidate RequirementsProven experience in a similar HR role, with knowledge of recruitment and payroll processes Strong administrative, data entry skills, and attention to detail Experience with payroll calculations Ability to work independently and suggest process improvements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively within a small team Proficiency with HR systems Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles High accuracy and a positive, proactive attitude Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion StatementArts Council is committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourages applications from diverse backgrounds, including disabled, D/deaf, neurodivergent, and ethnically diverse candidates.
