Job Description

Job ResponsibilitiesAssist the health team led by the project medical doctor during field visits to identify individuals with emergency health needs. Take patient histories, check vital signs, register patient details in the registration log and other project documents. Administer injections, fluids, and support the project medical doctor in following proper health protocols for patient management. Conduct community awareness sessions to improve health education and awareness, helping prevent various diseases. Educate the community about the importance of preventing communicable and non-communicable diseases. Discuss topics such as hygiene, seasonal diseases, COVID-19 prevention, and standard health precautions during awareness sessions. Distribute IEC and BCC materials during health awareness sessions to participants. Refer and consult with the project Medical Doctor on critical or complicated cases encountered in the field. Identify and screen vulnerable groups, including women, persons with disabilities, children, the elderly, and individuals with chronic illnesses. Coordinate communication and services between provincial teams, faith leaders (IMAMS), community leaders, women leaders, and youth for COVID-19 awareness initiatives. Create an environment conducive to listening and discussion through one-on-one meetings and interactive sessions using IEC materials. Gather and systematically record feedback, views, and suggestions from participants. Capture quality photos, quotes, and case studies related to the project activities. Perform any additional tasks as assigned. QualificationsDegree in Nursing. 1-2 years of relevant experience in health and nutrition. Experience in staff management, community outreach, counseling, and stakeholder coordination. Proficiency in Pashto and Dari. Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic team and handle diverse tasks. Familiarity with the targeted provinces, communities, geography, and culture.
