If you are passionate about the outdoors, this role could be a perfect fit for you!Job Title - Buying Admin Assistant - Outdoor LivingLocation: JD Group, Hollins Brook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, BL9 8RRWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pmWhat You'll Be Doing:PlanningAssist with the delivery of analysis and preparation of future strategies.Provide administrative support for the buying team across all relevant systems.Ensure accurate data entry within the relevant critical path.Prepare seasonal photographic range catalogues.Understand the top-line company strategy and its impact on your department.DeliveringDevelop an understanding of the outdoor market, suppliers, and competitors.Manage buying team branded samples—ordering, recording, returns.Ensure sample availability for marketing, online, photography, etc.Build and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers.Understand the systems and processes used within JD Outdoors.Support buyers and liaise with product development teams as needed.Support online teams with branded assets, product data, and copy.TradingSupport trading meetings—sales samples, new lines.Track competitor activity and document ranging, pricing, promotion, etc.TeamworkShare best practices within the team.Give and receive regular feedback.Learn from mistakes and help shape future plans.Strive for a ‘right first time’ approach in all we do.Contribute to a positive office culture—if something isn’t right, help change it.Skills/Experience/Knowledge:Passion for outdoor activities and products is advantageous.Previous retail experience within an outdoor retailer is beneficial but not essential.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to prioritize workload and tasks.Ability to build internal and external working relationships.Flexible during peak periods.The Company:At GO Outdoors, our purpose is to inspire and equip everyone for life outdoors.
