Engineering Technician (Electrical/ Mechanical), Data Center Engineering OperationsAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring our customers have continual access to innovation. We work on complex problems with many variables and seek talented individuals to join us. We are hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our Infrastructure Operations team. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting and operation of electrical and mechanical equipment. If you enjoy applying your skills to solve problems, we want to meet you. Your work will help maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures. Key job responsibilitiesSAFETYMaintain high safety standards and promote a safety-first culture. Address safety risks/issues collaboratively with other teams. Lead safety initiatives and projects. ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCEExperience with electrical and mechanical equipment such as UPS systems, switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC, exhaust fans, VFDs, and transformers. Troubleshoot events within SLAs. Perform routine operational readings (temperatures, voltages, currents). Supervise contractors performing maintenance. Manual handling and lifting of equipment as per safety regulations. Ability to work in shifts. Minimum qualificationsKnowledge of electrical competencies and theory. N6 Engineering qualification in Electrical or Mechanical. 2+ years of data center engineering experience.
