Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our team of friendly dietitians and assistants at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust. We are one of the busiest acute trusts in London, based across Queen's Hospital in Romford and King George Hospital in Goodmayes. The successful applicant will work within our neurosciences team, covering an inpatient caseload on neurosurgical and neurological wards, as well as general medical wards. With training, they will also support the senior specialist neurosciences dietitian on the neuroscience critical care unit as required. The department is involved in education for healthcare professionals and student dietitians, and participation in training is expected. You need to have a recognized degree/diploma in Dietetics, be registered with the HCPC, and have clinical knowledge and experience across various disease states and dietetic therapies. Main duties of the jobDeliver a high-quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients for Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT). Provide specialist nutritional care, including assessment, dietary therapy, and monitoring for patients and carers. The area includes neurosurgery, neurological disorders, elderly care, and general medical and surgical wards. Act as a dietary expert for colleagues and other healthcare professionals across the organization. Work as part of the Dietetic team to ensure service coverage during leave periods. Contribute to clinical governance by participating in audits, developing and implementing evidence-based guidelines, protocols, policies, and continuing professional development.
