We are looking for flexible Theatre Practitioners to join our bank, as we continue to expand throughout the UK! About the RoleThe key responsibilities of the Theatre Practitioner will be to focus on patient-centric care, participating in the entire pathway for all patients from pre-admission, surgery, and post-operative management. You will be an experienced Theatre Practitioner undertaking preoperative assessment, diagnostics testing, and theatre scrub under AfPP good practice guidance. We are looking for someone who can:Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to patients, friends, and families Prepare clinical areas for clinical activities Assist surgeons in the delivery of ophthalmic care Manage admission and discharge of patients Be proactive, keen to learn, and passionate about delivering quality care Have effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills Thrive in a team environment To be successful in this role you will need:Previous ophthalmic theatre experience Relevant professional development, preferably evidenced by certification (RN with valid NMC Registration or ODP with valid HCPC Registration) Up-to-date knowledge in your area of practice Proficiency in PC use, including software and systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills A passion for delivering first-rate patient safety and care About CHECSince 2012, CHEC has been working with the NHS to increase patient choice and provide better access to exceptional, timely, locally-based ophthalmology and gastroenterology care – free at the point of care.
