We have an exciting opportunity for a Diabetes Clinical Assistant to join our specialist inpatient team within the Elsie Bertram Diabetes Centre at the NNUH. Our Diabetes inpatient specialist team aim to provide both inpatients with a high standard of diabetes care with a view to improving health and reducing length of stay, and ward staff with support and education on diabetes care. The role is mainly based within our inpatient specialist nursing team but may have an opportunity to also support our outpatient team.We have a firmly established multi-professional approach to care delivery with both Consultant and Specialist Nurses. We aim to educate and inform patients, their families, and carers for them to make choices about their individual health care needs and support them with self-management of their diabetes.This is a substantive position working 30 hours over 4 weekdays.When applying for this position please indicate why you are interested in the Elsie Bertram Diabetes Centre and how your current experience is relevant to the role.
