Position:Economic Development Assistant Location:Belfast Duration:Temporary Pay Rate:£18.26 per hour Hours of work:37 hours per week The role involves providing support to facilitate the delivery of key economic development projects and strategies, assisting in project development and coordination, supporting event organization, conducting research on best practices, and ensuring compliance and monitoring of project activities. Key Duties:Provide support to facilitate the delivery of economic development projects and strategies. Assist in the development, coordination, and delivery of projects, managing workload to meet deadlines. Ensure adherence to project standards, methodologies, and management processes. Oversee compliance with eligibility procedures and conduct monitoring visits to funded organizations. Maintain accurate records of performance and financial data for audits and reviews. Support officers in preparing funding claims. Research economic issues to support project development. Maintain updated information on economic development in Belfast. Act as the first point of contact for inquiries regarding economic development projects. Monitor resources and activities, providing reports to council and funders. Essential Criteria:Applicants must demonstrate at least one year's relevant experience in at least two of the following areas: Assisting in the development and management of funded projects, including research, financial administration, and monitoring.
