ResponsibilitiesESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Is knowledgeable of operations of the entire plant. Able to operate Top Gun and load trucks on computer. Prepares warehouse transfer sheets. Brings in packing cases to the Finishing Department. Operates Clamp Truck to move rolls of paper. Inspects loads for correct count and quality deficiencies. Shrink wraps loads when need. Moves loads from finishing machines to the finished goods warehouse. Maintains physical structure of the plant by keeping machines and work area clean and orderly. Knows and practices all safety and quality standards. Must follow all applicable ISO procedures and make recommendations for system improvements as identified. Must be capable of keeping accurate records, including the completion of all required forms; and the accurate use of different measuring devices including tape measures, and all other applicable gauges for your responsibilities. It is expected that each employee uses proper personal safety protection. It is likewise expected that each employee will protect other associates and company property from accidents, illnesses, and health hazards. Safety is part of this job function and will be considered in performance evaluations, promotions, and any other form of recognition including pay rates. It is expected that any potential hazards observed be reported to the appropriate supervisor and/or the Safety Director. QUALITY EFFORTS AND MOTIVATION:Is responsible for the inherent quality of all support services as they may affect Manufacturing's ability to meet its basic quality responsibility. Quality is part of this job function and will be considered in performance evaluations, promotions, and any other form of recognition including pay rates. It is expected that any major quality deficiencies be reported to the immediate superintendent, supervisor, or lead person, Quality Assurance department, and/or the Vice President of Manufacturing. QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:Forklift Operator’s License required but will train. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
