Client Site Representative/Site Engineer – Anaerobic Digestion & Biomethane Locations:Oxfordshire, Midlands, Portsmouth, or Southampton Salary:£50,000-£60,000 Plus package Introduction:Our client is developing and constructing multiple multi-year contracts and projects across the UK in the field of Anaerobic Digestion and Biomethane. They are seeking skilled individuals to join their team as Client Site Representatives, playing a crucial role in maintaining optimal site operations. These representatives will act as the primary interface between the client and the Principal Contractor, managing activities of 4-5 specialist subcontractors. Each project is valued at approximately £25 million, with a construction period of 9-12 months followed by extensive commissioning. Key Responsibilities:Supervise the site at a project level, ensuring the Principal Contractor adheres to the program, contract, cost, quality, and SHEQ requirements. Ensure proactive compliance with CDM regulations, conduct regular safety walks, control site access, and verify technical specifications are met. Maintain a culture of zero accidents and defects, ensuring delivery milestones are achieved and high-quality service is provided. Promote full H&S compliance, fostering a safe environment where team members feel confident to raise safety concerns. Implement cost-conscious management by utilizing resources efficiently. Develop, review, and update realistic scheme programmes, ensuring all stakeholders adhere to schedules. Lead site coordination meetings with contractors and review mandatory documentation such as Temporary Works, Quality, Environmental, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements. Manage collaborative planning meetings on site. Act as the Project Engineer’s representative on site, maintaining records of progress, manpower, plant, and equipment to drive efficiencies. Collaborate with the Technical Manager and Engineering Project Engineers to proactively manage risks and technical queries during the project. Requirements:Experience as a Client Site Representative, Resident Engineer, Clerk of Works, or Site Supervisor in construction. Supervisory/management experience in a construction environment. Strong understanding of CDM Regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Qualification in an engineering or construction discipline. Certifications: SMSTS/SSSTS/CSCS, NEBOSH, IOSH. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and collaborative planning tools.
