Join Potters Bar Clinic in Potters Bar as a Maintenance Assistant and Driver, where you will be part of creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. You must possess a full driving license as driving is also required as part of this role . You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, and will also participate in an on-call rota. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the facilities are fit for purpose, gardening, and conducting audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors. Working alongside an established team, you will handle maintenance tasks, liaise with contractors, and support the upkeep of the service. As a Maintenance Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose. Using good DIY skills to maintain safety for service users. Performing regular checks and maintenance. Repairing and maintaining all buildings. Assisting with decorating tasks. Liaising with a manager to report faults and defects. Participating in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance. Supporting contractors on-site and completing paperwork and tool checks. To be successful in this role, you will: Follow systems and procedures. Have previous maintenance experience. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Show courtesy and respect to residents to ensure high-quality service. Attend and participate in training and staff meetings. Where you will be working: Location:190 Barnet Rd, Potters Bar EN6 2SE Potters Bar Clinic provides care for young people and adults with mental health needs and personality disorders in a 24-hour environment. The CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services are for ages 13–18. The clinic is conveniently located near the M25 and Potters Bar Train Station, with easy access via bus.
