Wage Rate$19.75/hour Position OverviewThe Food Service Worker accurately and efficiently prepares a variety of food items according to work instructions and menus, utilizing various food preparation utensils and machines. Essential Functions, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesVerify accurate counts of products and supplies Maintain proper rotation of ingredients and refrigerated/frozen food items Load and unload trucks as necessary Assist with warehouse and kitchen tasks as needed Stock and organize the warehouse Follow sanitation and safety guidelines Supervise and direct inmate labor Order paper, cleaning supplies, tools, and food products based on menus Ensure delivery vehicles are inspected Oversee and manage drivers' duties Conduct daily and weekly inspections of areas Train inmates and staff Manage tool control Schedule preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment Support deliveries to kitchens and manage orders Reconcile weekly usage reports Perform other duties as needed QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years old Minimum 1 year experience in food service, institutional experience preferred ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for long periods Experience with safety procedures in food service environments BenefitsTKC Holdings offers comprehensive benefits, including: Medical with prescription coverage (Benefit Credit of $750 annually) Dental Vision Basic life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance Voluntary benefits (short-term, long-term disability, etc.) Employees are eligible for paid time off and a company match for the 401(k) plan.
