Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you. The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, with 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. You’ll oversee the store from the shop floor, striving to improve the experience for customers, colleagues, and communities daily. As a Shift Leader, you will: Work in a fast-paced retail environment with variety. Take ownership of duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, stocked store exceeding customer expectations. Assist customers and ensure their needs are met. Identify ways to improve service, coaching colleagues and providing feedback. Support store safety and support colleagues in-store. Monitor store performance and assist in operational improvements. Lead by example, setting a positive standard for colleagues. Please note that applicants must be 18 or over. Responsibilities include: Coordinating the team for a smooth shopping experience. Supporting colleagues with priorities and breaks. Opening and closing the store, ensuring safety decisions are made. Being the point of contact in the absence of a manager. Maintaining store cleanliness and presentation. Supporting community and charity events. Fostering an inclusive team atmosphere. Providing excellent customer service. Communicating store updates and performance insights. Implementing store improvements and safety routines. Recognising colleagues’ great service. Requirements: Model thoughtful customer service.
