The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions within a legal environment, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounts and proficiency in accounting software. Duties Process and record all financial transactions accurately, including client payments and disbursements. Maintain the integrity of financial records by ensuring all entries are correct and up to date. Handle all relevant accounts tasks for both Client and Office account, including invoice processing and payment authorisation. Reconcile Client and Office bank accounts and assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports as required. Liaise with clients and internal departments regarding financial queries or discrepancies. Utilise LEAP Practice Management System and Xero accounting software to manage financial data efficiently. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies related to financial transactions. Requirements Proven experience in accounts or a similar role within a legal or professional services environment is preferred. Proficiency in the use of accounting and on-line banking software is essential, and prior knowledge of LEAP or Xero would be an advantage. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
