Job overviewThis role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior clinician to provide operational leadership for the new CMHT/community improvement programme, a key part of the clinical transformation infrastructure led by Stewart Gee, Chief Transformation Officer. The programme aims to deliver astandard service and workforce modelfor adult CMHTs across NSFT, aligning with local needs, service interface improvements, workforce updates, and staff development, in line with NHS Long-Term Plan, CMHSF, and other initiatives. It includes physical healthcare enhancements for people with serious mental illness (SMI) and addresses wider community service issues. The programme runs alongside Crisis and Inpatient improvement work. A key responsibility is to develop service and workforce models for adult CMHTs, working closely with staff, service users, carers, and stakeholders, including ICBs. Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be responsible for executing actions outlined in the CMHT/community improvement plan, as well as related Crisis and Inpatient plans. Responsibilities include: Supporting data, activity, and population health understanding through collaboration with BI/performance and the project team to inform new operating and workforce models for adult CMHTs. Leading the development of the service model for adult CMHTs (completion by September 2025). Leading the physical healthcare model development for CMHTs (completion by September 2025). Additional general responsibilities include: Managing the delivery of the CMHT/community programme across NSFT, ensuring alignment with strategic clinical networks. Providing updates and reports to governance meetings as required. Maintaining and updating programme plans to meet priorities.
