We are seeking a talented and motivated analyst to join our team and support the Samsung News App. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing product and customer data to provide insights that inform business decisions and drive growth. You will work closely with teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to develop data-driven recommendations that enhance the user experience and achieve our business objectives. This role will report directly to the ESBO Senior Analytics Manager and is based in London. Role And ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilitiesAnalyse large user behaviour datasets to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Collaborate with product management to inform feature development and optimise app performance Explore new datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that help set the agenda for the product team Develop and maintain dashboards to track KPIs and provide actionable insights Positively impact insight capability for other products in the portfolio Build relationships with global engineering to ensure that Samsung News analytics requirements are clearly understood and delivered What We Need For This RoleTo be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Minimum 5+ years of experience in product or platform analytics Familiarity with news or publishing industries and strong commercial awareness Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and data visualization Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders What does success look like?You take initiative on finding new insights by creating and testing your own hypotheses You foster an insight-led culture, and build trust in our work amongst key decision-makers You challenge previously held assumptions You are able to prioritize between long and short term goals, often based on partial or ambiguous information You embody our core company values through kindness, willingness to help, and collaborative spirit. You have a commitment to continuous learning The interview processThere will be 2-3 stages of interview: SQL test Competency questions Presentation task Leaders from the Analytics and Insights team as well as key stakeholders will be involved in the interviews depending on availability.
