Ability to understand/interpret the regulatory requirements to new or ongoing business situations. This involves knowledge of the relevant legislation and regulations, and navigation of the same. Ability to motivate, direct and develop staff at different levels, to work individually as well as in a team environment. Sound judgement and ability to know when to escalate and when to seek internal or external assistance. Strong management, leadership, team-building skills and the ability to communicate compliance issues in a non-technical way to the senior teams and other employees. Effective communication and report writing skills. Knowledge In-depth knowledge of the UK financial services and regulatory framework including Data Protection and Anti-Financial Crime legislation and regulation. Significant knowledge of business systems including outsourced arrangements for financial services organisations. Experience: Credibility and experience at Board/ Management level. Experience in the management of Information Security risks, including experience in Digital developments and associated risks Facing off to Asset Management Knowledge/exposure of Asset Management trading systems Experience in technology control models eg COBIT (Control Objectives for information and related technologies) or similar.
