HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison with a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare services include Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Pharmacy. Hours: 37.5 Shift times: 0700am - 1900pm and 1400pm- 2200pm Salary This full-time position offers an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum FTE, depending on experience. How will we support you? What you'll be doing As an EDIC Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will include: Leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver nurse-led services and prevent hospital admissions Undertaking medication rounds, dispensing controlled medications, attending emergency situations, assessing patients, and conducting reception screening Providing evidence-based, personalized care based on patient feedback Delivering non-judgmental care that makes a genuine difference Building strong links with partners and stakeholders to foster trust and safety Promoting best practices, clinical supervision, and continuous quality improvement Sharing knowledge and supporting team development for safe care We offer numerous development opportunities, including internal and external training options, as well as benefits such as discounts, ongoing professional support, and a 24/7 assistance helpline. Qualifications required include: Registered nurse – Adult Current NMC registration Evidence of CPD Understanding of multi-disciplinary working Excellent communication skills Proactive problem-solving skills Motivated, both individually and in team settings Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is preferred but not essential.
