Job summary We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Band 7 Clinical Lead Nurse to join our community Autism services covering Leicestershire, Leicester, and Rutland. The role will be split across 3 services: 0.6 WTE based within our Specialist Autism Team (SAT), supporting service users aged 14 and above to understand their diagnosis, its impact, and their individual needs. Opportunities to work directly with service users, facilitate group workshops, and liaise with colleagues across Health, Social Care, and Education. The SAT is multidisciplinary, and you will be part of the leadership team alongside colleagues from Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy backgrounds. You will be responsible for line management of the Nursing team and supporting daily decision-making within the service. Additionally, there will be a 0.4 WTE position within our Adult Autism Assessment Service (AAAS), conducting Autism Assessments for clients aged 18 and above. Experience with ADOS assessments, both face-to-face and via MS Teams, is required. Background in Mental Health or Learning Disability nursing is advantageous. Main duties include: Managing care quality, clinical activity, and providing professional nursing leadership. Ensuring the delivery of effective, needs-based services in line with policies and development plans. Developing specialist care interventions and care plans. Fostering open communication and networking with internal and external MDTs and stakeholders. Performing comprehensive assessments and planning, implementing, and evaluating care delivery. Promoting client, family, and carer involvement in all aspects of care. Please note this is a hybrid role with options to work from Trust offices or remotely.
