Head of Security Operations - ManchesterSalary:Up to £120,000 base salary plus bonus Location:Manchester VIQU has partnered with a leading Managed Service Provider to recruit a Head of Security Operations. This role involves leading and managing the Security Operations Centre (SOC), with a focus on strategic development, automation, scalability, and team management. Key Responsibilities:Manage the continual improvement of the SOC team (currently 26 members), focusing on automation and scalability. Develop the SOC to effectively serve international clients. Implement new processes and oversee governance of the SOC. Act as a senior point of escalation for hierarchical, technical, and customer issues. Ensure operational procedures are well-defined, documented, and consistently applied. Experience and Qualifications:Experience in a senior role within a Managed Service environment. Proven track record of developing or improving SOC teams, ensuring scalability and automation. Strong leadership skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP or CISM. Deep understanding of threat actor methodologies, technical tools (e.g., Sentinel, AlienVault), incident response, and forensic investigations.
