Job overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Systems Specialist to join our busy innovative Digital Systems Team. As a Clinical Systems Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and availability of the Trusts electronic patient record (EPR) – SystmOne. You will act as a subject matter expert supporting services to ensure that their current SystmOne design and configuration matches their clinical reporting needs and aligns to the Trusts annual priorities. Our Digital Systems Team is part of our forward-thinking Digital Services Department where you would be responsible for providing quality support and expertise to staff across the trust along with external stakeholders, either in person or virtually depending on the customer needs. Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and friendly individual who demonstrates attention to detail with expert knowledge and experience of configurable clinical Systems. The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative to support with the maintenance and design of the trust EPR (Electronic patient record) in line with service level agreements and project timelines. As a Clinical Systems Specialist you must feel comfortable presenting and communicating with a wide range of individuals as you will be required to represent the team as a subject matter expert during various meeting with internal and external stakeholders. You will play a vital part in maturing the trust EPR. This will include working day to day with services to ensure that the EPR matches their individual needs along with implementing new functionality across a wide range of services to improve patient care. Alongside implementing changes to increase efficiencies, you will also be responsible for the clinical systems change control process ensuring all changes to EPR are accurately considered and reviewed. You will need to have an understanding of a variety of national NHS systems and how these integrate together. In addition you will need to have an understanding of how configuration can impact on the trust national and local reporting obligations.
