This is a rare leadership opportunity to take charge of procurement strategy for multi-billion-pound programmes across rail, highways, and complex public infrastructure. As Head of Procurement , youll be embedded in the Group Leadership Team, driving procurement excellence across all phases of project execution and supplier engagement. With a remit covering both current flagship projects and future pipeline bids, your role is key to shaping the businesss long-term commercial success. Key Responsibilities: Lead procurement for complex, high-value infrastructure programmes valued in the billions. Set and execute category strategies for major construction and civil engineering packages. Manage and develop a team of 1520 experienced procurement professionals. Build strategic supplier partnerships with top-tier contractors and material vendors. Collaborate with executive leadership to support bid development and business growth. Drive operational efficiency and cost savings while ensuring project delivery timelines. What Were Looking For: Senior-level procurement experience in civil infrastructure (e.g., rail, highways, utilities). Proven leadership in complex contract environments (e.g., NEC3, JCT). Strong track record managing teams of 10 in high-pressure delivery environments. Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to stakeholder engagement and supplier management. Commercial and contractual confidence when influencing board-level stakeholders. Degree educated; MCIPS preferred but not essential. Why Join?
