Construction Manager (Mechanical and Electrical Bias) Aviation Manchester Location: Manchester Airport (5 days on site) Duration: Initial 6-month contract Rate: 64.22 p/hour Inside IR35 Hours: 40 per week The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical bias to join a high-profile aviation project based at Manchester Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major capital projects, supporting the successful delivery of key infrastructure developments. Key Responsibilities: Provide Construction Management support across all stages of the project lifecycle. Coordinate activities between subcontractors, project delivery teams, and stakeholders. Act as Manchester Airport Groups day-to-day site representative, ensuring that contractor activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Monitor site progress through regular inspections and site visits, ensuring works align with contract documentation and project timelines. Maintain exceptional standards in safety, quality, cost control, programme delivery, sustainability, and compliance. Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Advocate for and enforce local health and safety rules and regulations. Key Requirements: Degree qualified in a relevant field. Minimum 7 years experience in construction management, preferably within aviation or similar complex environments. Strong Mechanical and Electrical experience, particularly with systems such as substations, runway cabling, and airside requirements. Proficient in NEC Contracts; experience as an NEC Supervisor or Clerk of Works is highly desirable. Must be local to Manchester or willing to commute 5 days a week to site. Security clearance for airport operations is required. We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this position.
