Our client, a leading energy consultancy, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing new business while managing and expanding existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking and determination, playing a key role in growing the company’s customer portfolio. While some leads will be provided by a lead generation team, you will also be expected to proactively generate your own opportunities. If you have a proven track record in selling electricity or gas contracts to corporate clients, thrive in a sales-driven environment, and have a results-focused mindset, apply today!Responsibilities:Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationshipsEstablish relationships with new clients and provide high standard of customer serviceDevelop, grow and nurture existing client relationshipsAcquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirementsAssist in resolving any issues and problems faced by customersTake responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new customersPresentations to senior management and prepare regular reports of progressManagement of tender processes Skills and experience required:Previous experience working in an Energy Consultancy or Supplier - EssentialProven track record in generating new business and closing sales Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written forms.Excellent influencing, negotiating and listening skillsCommercially minded, with an ability to negotiate with all levels of business.A strategic and commercial approach to your workA problem solver, able to find solutions and articulate them effectivelyExperience in providing solutions based on customer needs.Proactive and organised with strong interpersonal skills.Ref: JB-15062 Role: Business Development Manager (Energy / Utilities)Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week in Cheltenham Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Comms (OTE circa £48k - £55k)
