We also seek to do business responsibly taking account of our impact on our stakeholder groups and the environment.Warehouse Manager - ChesterfieldReporting to the Regional Head of Logistics, the Warehouse Manager will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of our newly acquired 40,000 sq ft warehouse on the outskirts of Chesterfield, including order fulfilment, goods in, put-away, let-down, picking, dispatch and returns sortation. During the early stages of establishing our footprint for the Chesterfield site, we will operate a single shift set up – moving to 2 shift operation in the long term.Additional duties will also include:Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with CHH’s policies and visionSet up Warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilizationInitiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and proceduresAdhere to all warehousing, handling and distribution legislation requirementsMaintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and securityLiaise with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholdersPlan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise resultsEssential skills and attributesMUST have proven experience as a Warehouse Manager coupled with strong knowledge of Warehousing KPIsLine management experience and can evidence record of developing team membersExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practicesLeadership skills and ability to manage and develop staffIT literate – in particular spreadsheets - with a knowledge of warehouse systemsProven ability to implement process improvement initiativesGood understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor qualityGood planning, problem solving and decision making skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines
