Planning Engineer Middlesbrough Permanent As a Senior Planner you will be responsible for: Leading the Planning function with key interface to the other business units/planners. Leading, mentoring, and coaching the team on schedule prioritisation and scope availability. Develop, control, monitor, analyse and report on schedule related aspects for the designated project. Establish and monitor resource loaded, logic linked, baseline plan(s) for the project in accordance with project and corporate processes. Capture project budgetary costs and resources in the plan to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget. Maintain and control project baselines in line with clients procedures and guidance. Ensure the reasons for, and the factors influencing each change to the projects baseline plan and the implications of such change are understood and communicated with the wider project team. Assist the lead planner with EVM (Earned Value Management) evaluation and practice within the project schedules. Challenging schedule and cost variances against the baseline plan and wider portfolio. Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned portfolio by means of the Project Plan(s). Discuss and review plans with management and other stakeholders to identify priorities for construction and communicate the strategy. Experience / understanding of Earned Value Analysis Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment. Ability to interact confidently with a project team
