This role will be the backbone of our Apprenticeship team within Talent and Resourcing. You'll be supporting the Senior Advisor and Apprenticeship Advisor to create and run an amazing apprenticeship program here at the council that helps apprentices to start their career journey and succeed. Main ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll be responsible for the administration and coordination of our apprenticeship programmes, ensuring a seamless process for both apprentices and managers. Specifically, you will: Manage the full journey of apprentices, from helping to process recruitment within our Applicant Tracking System to onboarding and ongoing support. Keep all apprenticeship records updated and compliant with UK standards on the Digital Apprenticeship Service System. Handle phone and email queries, ensuring responses are efficient and professional, and pass these on to the Advisor when needed. Be the main point of contact for apprentices, managers, and training providers, ensuring clear communication. Track apprentices’ progress, prepare reports, and keep stakeholders informed through the apprenticeship system. Provide accurate data and reports to support workforce planning and decisions. Support apprentices throughout their program, resolving issues promptly. Assist with financial tasks such as raising purchase orders and following financial regulations. Help organize apprenticeship events and workshops, from planning to providing information. Offer administrative support to the Talent and Resourcing team to facilitate wider recruitment activities. Act as an ambassador for early careers and apprenticeships, championing their success and growth. The Ideal CandidateTo be successful, you will need: GCSE level education (or equivalent qualification) or relevant experience in administrative roles. Experience providing effective administrative support. Proficiency in IT and digital systems, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple requests via email, phone, and Teams. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Numerical skills for managing levy funds and reporting. Experience working constructively with others and building effective relationships. We’re happy to discuss flexible working options.
