Job Title: Bricklayer (Public Sector) VANRATH is assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Bricklayer for an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. The position is primarily based at their Portadown site.Responsibilities:Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine layout and materials required.Measure and cut bricks, blocks, or other materials to size using hand or power tools.Lay bricks or blocks in courses, ensuring alignment and levelness.Apply mortar between bricks or blocks and remove excess mortar to achieve a neat finish.Repair or replace damaged bricks or blocks as needed.Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.The Ideal Candidate:Proven experience as a Bricklayer, preferably in the public sector or construction industry.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Valid driver’s license may be required.Experience working on Response Maintenance contracts is advantageous.Remuneration: £25,050 - £30,000 plus Van & Fuel Card.For more information or to apply, please contact Chris Haddock or apply via the link below.
