About youWe seek experts in their field because what we do is essential. Specifically, we are looking for someone who:• Holds a degree or has relevant experience in major infrastructure planning and delivery. • Has extensive experience leading infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary teams. Has demonstrable experience managing technical interfaces with third parties on major projects.• Has senior experience leading large, complex programs, fostering innovative and effective operations. • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading and influencing large teams. • Has proven experience in customer management and influencing partner organizations. • Demonstrates experience in relationship management and driving commercial value through contracts. • Has experience leading change and driving improvements in complex organizations or programs. • Is proficient in delivering complex commercial arrangements, including contracts, negotiations, and management. • Familiarity with National Grid's values and leadership development is beneficial. • Understanding of procurement and regulatory environments in which National Grid operates is highly advantageous. What you'll do The Portfolio Technical Interface Manager - Onshore will coordinate all technical interfaces between multiple Onshore projects and third-party projects or infrastructure. Managing outage coordination across projects with system interaction will be key to ensure efficient system use and project delivery. This role is crucial in managing the high-risk Onshore portfolio, which includes numerous projects with tight timelines and dependencies. The role involves ensuring effective communication, understanding requirements, and controlling changes and impacts. Note that the Interface Manager will not manage project-level interfaces, which remains the Project Director’s responsibility. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary contact for all technical stakeholders, working closely with the Portfolio Director, Project Directors, and project teams. • Manage and coordinate interfaces between projects, both internally and with external parties, including design, planning, and construction interfaces. • Develop and maintain a governance approach, interface management plan, and related documentation for the portfolio. • Identify and negotiate optimal interface outcomes to meet cost, schedule, and scope targets. • Establish effective communication channels and coordination processes with all technical stakeholders. • Represent National Grid at a senior level, engaging and managing technical stakeholders. • Promote a safety culture to uphold health and safety standards. • Develop, administer, and manage budgets, conducting regular cost and productivity analyses. • Recruit, develop, and lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams, ensuring resources meet objectives. • Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to teams. What you'll getA competitive salary between £84,000 and £95,000, depending on capability.In addition to your salary, you will receive a company car or allowance, a bonus of up to 20%, and a comprehensive benefits package including a contributory pension scheme with employer matching up to 12%.
