Finance Payments and Admin OfficerLocation: LondonContract: Permanent (Full-Time)Salary: £34,416 - £36,522 per annumStart Date: Flexible*Hybrid Working – Once per fortnight in office*Contact: greg.waite@.ukJob Description Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a London-based Local Authority for a Finance Payments and Admin Officer to join their Education and Schools Finance team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be an essential part of a dynamic finance team, providing excellent customer service to schools and Council staff on school payments and finance-related queries.Main ResponsibilitiesCalculating and updating monthly payments to schools using the Council's schools advances system.Completing financial reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.Reviewing and following up on monthly and quarterly school finance returns.Liaising with Council staff and schools to address queries.Seeking continuous improvement opportunities in processes.Candidate CriteriaAAT qualification or equivalent (highly preferred)Experience in public sector finance, especially Schools/Education finance, is essentialExperience in a customer-facing environment resolving queries and improving processesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamIf interested, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions on 01772 208969 or email greg.waite@.uk.
