Job Title: Commercial Finance Manager - Product DivisionAs a Commercial Finance Manager within the Product division at Booker, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of our growing wholesale business. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and providing insightful analysis to support strategic, data-driven decision-making. This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to work closely with senior business leaders, contributing directly to the success and growth of the business. You’ll be at the forefront of key decisions, using your strong commercial acumen to provide expert financial guidance and challenge. You will also lead a team of three analysts, supporting their development while ensuring they deliver high-quality insights and value to key stakeholders across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:Ensure the business understands and delivers against expectations by collaborating effectively with the leadership team. Support a Pro area within the Product function, understanding year-on-year movements alongside budgeting and forecasting responsibilities. Manage Supplier Terms Agreements within your key pro area. Identify and proactively highlight risks, working diligently to mitigate potential issues. Provide decision support to close performance gaps by crafting informed choices. Analyse data and support decision-making within FP&A teams. Review and critique key business plans to ensure financial rigor in investment decisions. Lead business plan reviews for your Pro area, ensuring plans reflect current business realities and accurately appraise performance. Build financial models and arguments to help the business understand P&L impacts of promotions and investments. Ensure full governance around the period close process, providing transparency on accruals and provisions. Adhere to Booker policies, act with integrity, and follow the Business Code of Conduct. Minimum Requirements:Proven track record of building positive cross-functional relationships. Extensive experience in providing insight and analysis, with a strong background in business planning and forecasting. Ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with senior partners. Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience in delivering growth initiatives and partnering with senior leadership. Ownership of budgets and forecasts for savings and growth initiatives. Ability to improve processes to enhance clarity and business performance. Strong collaboration with FP&A teams to maintain a clear view of performance, outlook, and risks. Qualified accountant (CIMA) preferred; experience-based candidates demonstrating strong commercial acumen will also be considered.
