Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking 4 dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Paediatric Emergency Department (ED) team as a Clinical Senior Charge Nurses/Sisters. Main duties of the job Role and Responsibilities:As a Clinical Senior Charge Nurse/Sister, you will provide high-quality care in our busy and fast-paced department. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work and support staff in all areas of the Paediatric ED, including: • Triage • Resuscitation, including Major Trauma • ED Majors • Clinical Decisions Unit • Patient Flow You will be supported by a team leader, Modern Matron, and Nurse Consultant in Emergency Care. The role includes developing clinical skills through nurse-led discharge from the ED, providing medications via Patient Group Directives, plastering and suturing, requesting x-rays from triage, and cannulation of paediatric patients. Your personal development will be supported through clinical supervision with the Paediatric ED Matron and Lead Nurse. Person specification Education / Qualifications Essential criteriaRegistered Nurse (Child) Post-registration emergency nursing education (A&E Course, Acutely unwell Child, Emergency Practice or Equivalent Experience) Practice Supervisor / Assessor Advanced Paediatric Life Support Course Advanced Trauma Nursing Course / Trauma Nursing Core Course or Equivalent Level 2 Trauma course.
