Such growth demands a strong Head of Accounts.The successful candidate will lead the finance department within the business and drive it forward with effective budgetary control. They will be a strong team leader with exceptional attention to detail.Previous experience in the property sector is a distinct advantage, but not essential. You will be responsible for:AccountingCost accountingOverseeing bank reconciliationEnsure all balance sheets are fully reconciledIssue financial statementsMonth-end close processManagement ReportingDesign & development management reportsProduction of monthly management accounts within 14 days of month-endFinancial AnalysisDevelop & maintain performance measurementsControls / AuditsDesign and review financial policies and proceduresReview internal financial control systemsPrepare audit information as requiredEnsure accurate and timely VAT Returns in line with accounting timelinesStrategic PlanningParticipate in strategic financial planningInternal control strategyFunctional ManagementLine management of the finance teamOversee accounts receivable / payable / billingsWill be required to process the payroll on Sage and deal with the company pension scheme (or ensure this is processed efficiently within the team)Budgeting / ForecastingDevelop budget targets and other financial plansTo monitor and update forecasts to guide accurate financial planning and deliveryAccess the full job description here - THIS ROLE FOR YOU?Qualifications and SkillsAn ACCA or CIMA qualification or equivalentPeople management experienceEffective project management and adherence to tight timescalesLegal complianceWorking knowledge of payroll and pension schemesHave a hands-on approachCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work cross-functionally to deliver results in support of all areas of the businessPlease note this is an office based role.The ideal candidate will show honesty, integrity, and reliability and have solid written and verbal communication skills.
