Blue Diamond Recruitment is working on a new and exclusive Senior Estimator opportunity with a growing house builder, based in the West Midlands.This business builds a high quality product with a focus on sustainability. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for providing accurate construction cost estimates for land bids whilst working closely with the land and construction teams. Roles & Responsibilities:Review plans and specifications to prepare comprehensive estimates.Collaborate with the Land team to ensure a considered approach to viabilities.Identify potential financial risk.Adjust estimates and recommendations based on changes and updates to projects.Keep up to date on inflation and material price increases.Ensure that Section 106 obligations are appropriately considered.Provide cost exercises and comparisons where required.Liaise with internal departments regarding specification on a site-by-site basis, advising on cost implications.Undertake general take offs for each scheme.The successful candidate will be a team player with a good personality and have a strong background in estimating with experience of working on residential projects. Coming from a timber frame background is also preferable.
