For instance, successful candidates who are at the start of their career will tend to assist more experienced lawyers with their caseload, whilst candidates with a more developed grasp of complex injury will be encouraged to carry their own caseload though support and guidance is always available. As a general guide, your duties will be responsible for:Managing a caseload of complex catastrophic injury claims, from pre-litigation through to settlement or trial.Drafting and reviewing court documents, witness statements, and expert reports.Attending Joint Settlement Meetings (JSMs), Court hearings, and mediations.Collaborating with medical experts, counsel, and clients to develop case strategy.Supporting and mentoring junior team members.Nature of your caseloadCatastrophic Injury lawyers in the team tend to carry high-value multi-track cases, including:Head and Brain InjuriesSpinal Cord InjuriesAmputationsFatal ClaimsSerious Orthopaedic InjuriesComplex Employer’s Liability (EL) & Public Liability (PL) ClaimsFurthering your careerThis is a leading national team with a fantastic reputation in the market.
