Cure Talent is delighted to partner a leading UK manufacturer who specialize in the design and production of high-quality packaging machinery solutions for the medical device industry.We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join this company’s engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and will play a crucial role in designing and developing packaging machinery, automation equipment, jigs and fixtures to meet both company and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities:Provide mechanical engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioningAssist in drafting User Requirement Specifications and translating them into Design SpecificationsDesign components, mechanisms, and assemblies using SolidWorks, ensuring optimal materials and manufacturing methodsCreate detailed CAD drawings with appropriate tolerances and manufacturing notesSpecify and procure bought-in components as requiredDevelop and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) within company systemsDeliver innovative engineering solutions for machine design challengesConduct research and prototype testing for new processes and conceptsProduce and maintain technical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirementsWhat We’re Looking For:Experience in designing packaging or automation equipmentDegree in Design, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience working with medical packaging and/or medical devicesStrong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)Understanding of engineering and workshop machinery
