Job Title: Mechanical Project ManagerLocation: Chichester, West SussexSalary: Competitive, depending on experienceJob Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role:We are seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical project manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. Based in Chichester, you'll play a key role in managing budgets, coordinating teams, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.Key Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and manage all mechanical aspects of projects from inception to handoverLiaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and deliveryPrepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource planningConduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsMonitor project progress and produce regular status reports for stakeholdersEnsure quality assurance and adherence to industry standards and client requirementsManage procurement of mechanical materials and servicesSupport the tendering process, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and cost estimatesRequirements:Proven experience in project management within a mechanical engineering or building services environmentStrong knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, and plant equipmentDegree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficient in project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.)Full UK driving licenceDesirable:SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualificationsMembership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE)Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects
