Senior Logistics Excellence Manager Location: Greater London (Hybrid working) Salary: 90,000 - 120,000 bonus Company: Pod Talent are partnering with a globally recognised FMCG business Type: Permanent, Full-time Pod Talent are delighted to be partnering with a globally recognised FMCG business on an exciting new opportunity to join their Global Supply Chain team in a senior leadership role. Were looking for a Senior Logistics Excellence Manager - someone who is passionate about shaping strategy, building best-in-class logistics operations, and driving continuous improvement through innovation, data, and collaboration. This is a pivotal role with global scope, responsible for developing and embedding logistics best practices across all regions, overseeing a 100M logistics spend, and ensuring outstanding performance through strategic leadership and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities for the position of Senior Logistics Excellence Manager: Logistics Strategy & Best Practice: Define and implement a global logistics strategy, establishing a centre of excellence to drive consistency, efficiency, and innovation across regional operations. Performance & KPI Management: Build and manage global dashboards and logistics KPIs (e.g. OTIF, cost per case, warehouse productivity), driving accountability and improvement. Global Network Optimisation: Lead network modelling to identify cost-saving and service-enhancing opportunities across transport routes, distribution centre locations, and inventory positioning. Export & Trade Compliance: Oversee export movement compliance and partner with local teams and 3PLs to ensure robust, efficient, and compliant international logistics processes. Automation & Technology: Champion automation, WMS upgrades, and emerging tech (e.g. AI-driven routing), enhancing warehouse and transport performance. Customer-Centric Last-Mile Delivery: Collaborate with regional teams to enhance final-mile delivery and the end customer experience. Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a high-impact team, build regional roadmaps, and foster strong partnerships across the global supply chain and with external providers. Key Experience Required for the position for Senior Logistics Excellence Manager: Proven experience in global logistics leadership, ideally within FMCG, retail, or manufacturing environments. Strong track record in logistics strategy development, network modelling, and driving operational excellence. Hands-on experience managing large-scale 3PL relationships and influencing complex supply chain landscapes. Deep understanding of logistics technologies, WMS, automation, and AI applications in transport planning. Knowledge of export and trade compliance in global markets. A commercially minded, data-led thinker who can build compelling business cases and drive efficiency across global supply chains.
