We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, and motivated children's nurses with a passion for delivering high-quality care to join our team. If you are a registered children's nurse, we'd love to hear from you. About the WardOur ward provides care for patients up to 16 years old with a wide range of medical and surgical needs, both acute and elective. We have 8 beds, including 2 enhanced care cubicles, delivering Level 1 & 2 care to children and their families. You can expect to care for children with conditions such as bronchiolitis, diabetes, safeguarding needs, orthopaedic post-surgery, and more. Support and TrainingYou will be supported by practice educators, band 6 senior nurses, lead nurses, matrons, and the wider multidisciplinary team through your induction and preceptorship programmes. Main DutiesMaintain high standards of clinical care during nursing procedures. Responsible for the safe custody, checking, and administration of medication. Act as a patient advocate, championing safety and dignity. Ensure compliance with clinical governance frameworks. Be an effective team member. Contribute to continuous service improvement and practice development. Motivate colleagues and positively influence team dynamics.
