What you will be doing:You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will use your excellent communication skills and experience as a Team Leader with a background in Learning Disabilities & Autism to provide care and support people through their care pathway. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of you; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week. You will be working on a 3-week rolling rota with a mixture of late and early shifts. You will work one week of morning (07:00 to 15:30) with days off on Monday, Saturday, Sunday; one week of afternoon shifts (13:30 to 21:30) with days off on Wednesday and Thursday; one week of mixed shifts e.g., morning shift on Monday, day off Tuesday, afternoon shifts on Wednesday and Thursday, day off Friday, morning shifts on Saturday and Sunday. As a Team Leader you will have: Ideally have or be working towards NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care Hold a valid UK driving license (preferred to assist with community visits) Have strong empathy and a caring and compassionate nature Be willing to support residents with personal hygiene Have excellent people and communication skills, and a good sense of humor Deal with challenging behaviors Have a positive and professional approach Be reliable, flexible, hard-working and honest Be local or within a commutable distance You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full-time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visas cannot be accepted.
