Job summary We are looking for a Catering Services Manager to work on our Sutton site primarily. Work will involve overseeing staff and HACCP procedures in all catering areas including on our ward areas, the restaurant & cafe, functions ensuring we are maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout all areas of the work place. This position may include working weekends and a variety of shifts both morning and evening, working 5 days out of 7, as required. Main duties of the jobTo provide the highest level of catering service possible for patients, visitors and staff, in line with financial considerations. Ensuring that food for staff, patients, and visitors is of the highest possible standard in the Restaurant, NHS Wards, Private Wards, and that perishable and non-perishable items are ordered, received, stored, and dispatched according to store procedures and department needs. To ensure 'Best Value' is achieved in accordance with Trust and NHS financial guidelines. To liaise with the Head Chef/Catering Team to ensure proper stock decanting and issuing procedures. To manage all operational aspects of catering in ward areas, the children's unit (Sutton), and private patient areas, including food distribution, staff recruitment, rota planning, and compliance with hygiene and security standards. To implement and review management control systems, monitor practices, and ensure HACCP adherence.
