Additional payments may also apply depending on location. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week for new colleagues, with options to work as few as 12 hours if preferred. Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, our drivers deliver from Lands' End to John O'Groats, meeting customers in their homes daily. This role involves more than driving; it’s about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile. The job is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and while you’ll be delivering to customers, support is always available from managers and colleagues back at the depot. Whether you seek flexibility, job stability, or a career change, everyone is welcome at Tesco. Responsibilities include: Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized. Keeping the delivery area tidy and picking up litter. Washing trays as required. Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness. Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds. Handling products with care. Delivering within the scheduled time slots. Calling customers if arriving early or late. Requirements: A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points. Building positive relationships with colleagues and customers. Being welcoming and responsive to customer needs. Adapting quickly to changing customer requirements. Being energetic and driven to exceed expectations. What’s in it for you?
