An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse within the East Kent Community Rehabilitation Service, at Ethelbert Rd rehabilitation unit.About the Unit The unit is situated in the centre of Canterbury and is one of 6 Rehabilitation Units across Kent, providing specialist inpatient rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health needs. It comprises 9 single bedrooms and operates 24/7 staffing.Role and ResponsibilitiesBe the named nurse for a small caseload of clients, coordinating recovery-focused, individualised care plans.Work across a 24-hour shift pattern, managing shifts and delegating to junior staff.Understand the Mental Health Act, Safeguarding frameworks, and clinical documentation.Administer medication and manage medication protocols.Promote recovery-oriented practices, including group work and therapeutic interventions.Follow health and safety policies, manage risks, and ensure patient safety.Deliver high-quality care in collaboration with patients.Maintain mandatory training and CPD requirements (Trust Policy / NMC Revalidation).Collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team.Demonstrate good mental health assessment, intervention skills, and physical health monitoring.Additional Information Join us in the Garden of England, where we offer excellent professional development and a high quality of life.
