We have an exciting portfolio of projects across sectors such as onshore and offshore renewables, aviation, nuclear, and rail. We seek individuals with a creative spirit, a dedicated approach, and a solid grounding in environmental design, assessment, and management at any project stage.As one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies, WSP engages in high-profile projects, from small developments to major infrastructure schemes. Our Environmental Management and Assessment Team oversees environmental inputs throughout project lifecycles, from conception to completion.Our early engagement helps shape projects to reflect environmental and community challenges. We support design development through to consent, working with specialists and professionals to develop proposals that enhance the environment and communities, delivering benefits like improved habitats, cleaner air and water, and lower carbon impact. We collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure practices meet commitments. This role is ideal for proactive individuals eager to advance their careers.A little more about your role…As an EIA Consultant within WSP’s Environmental Assessment and Management team, you will collaborate with technical specialists and design teams across multiple sectors to manage environmental inputs to project designs and assessments.The role suits enthusiastic individuals interested in influencing, managing, and delivering environmental aspects of engineering projects across sectors like rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential developments, from feasibility to planning, detailed design, construction, and handover. You will help manage projects, coordinate bidding, team management, project delivery, and finances. You will work with a dedicated UK team committed to inspiring work and a fulfilling career. Typical weekly activities include:Coordinating environmental assessments and EIAsCollaborating with diverse environmental specialists to shape sustainable projectsDeveloping innovative techniques, including digital EIAPreparing environmental statements and sustainable design reports, as well as bidsManaging time, budgets, and costing for new proposalsWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…Degree in an environment-related fieldMembership in IEMA, IES, CIWEM, or similar professional bodyExperience supporting energy projects, including EIAKnowledge of environmental issues and topicsUnderstanding of UK environmental and planning regimesExperience in sectors like energy, highways, rail, housingExperience liaising with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external bodiesStrong communication, writing, and presentation skillsDemonstrable skills in relevant areasImagine a better future for you and for us all.Join our community of talented individuals passionate about making a positive impact.
