Your Role as a Support Worker withinChildren's Services: Assist with the care andsupport of our Children and Young People aged 12-17 whilst ensuringthat a homely environment is maintained. Contributing tomeeting each child's physical, emotional, social and educationalneeds. Build positive relationships with children andsupport with their development - whilst ensuring that they are keptsafe. Work within a Multi-disciplinary Team to advocate forchildren's needs. Provide positive and meaningful lifeexperiences for children to develop their skills and self-esteem. Provide calm and safe responses when Children and Youngpeople are unable to. Work in a Multi- disciplinary Team toprovide a nurturing environment in which young people can develop andthrive. Promote independence through care and support withdaily tasks such as cooking, travel etc. Complete key workresponsibilities and maintain young people's files. Our Ideal Candidate should: Bewilling to work towards or already hold a Level 3 Children ResidentialChildcare qualification (or equivalent). Have a passion towork with young people who sometimes demonstrate behaviours thatchallenge. Have a genuine desire to improve lives andpromote self-esteem. Demonstrate excellent communicationskills and empathy. Stay calm under pressure and workflexibly. Have an awareness of this client group and able towork on initiative, whilst also possessing a sense of resilience. Beflexible to work across all different shift patterns for example"Waking nights, day shift and sleep in shifts where applicable".
