Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible Healthcare Assistant to join our established nursing team on Boughton Ward. The role involves providing care and support to in-patients experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring inpatient admission. Commitment to meeting the needs of people with mental health issues and valuing their rights is essential. Flexibility in working patterns and a commitment to self-development and training are required, with opportunities to undertake an NVQ and Healthcare Worker Certificate. Main duties of the jobDeliver patient-focused care that promotes independence. Communicate routine information effectively to colleagues, patients, carers, and external contacts, using oral, written, or electronic methods. Support and advise patients and their carers appropriately. Encourage patient involvement in therapeutic activities to maintain and improve independence. Administer physical health care and checks as instructed, documenting on the NEWS2 system and reporting changes to the nurse or healthcare professional in charge. Perform daily tasks as allocated by the Nurse/Healthcare Professional in charge.
