The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, generating new business, and providing expert advice on steel products to meet client needs. You will play a key role in driving sales growth, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and ensuring product knowledge is up to date.Hannon Steel is poised to embark on a significant new phase of development. In the coming months, the company will transition to a custom-built, state-of-the-art facility at Nutts Corner. This strategic move will double our storage capacity and strengthen our infrastructure for sustained growth and enhanced service delivery.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and grow an existing portfolio of clients within the construction, manufacturing, and engineering sectors.Generate new business through outbound calls, site visits, and follow-ups on inquiries.Provide customers with accurate advice on steel products, grades, and specifications.Prepare and issue quotes and negotiate prices in line with company policies.Coordinate with stock control and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.Maintain accurate records of client interactions, quotes, and sales using the company CRM.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities.Meet or exceed sales targets and performance KPIs.Attend trade shows, site meetings, or customer premises as needed.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience RequiredProven experience in steel stockholding, metals distribution, or a similar industrial sales environment.Strong knowledge of steel products, specifications, and industry applications.Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.Self-motivated and target-driven with a proactive sales approach.Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM software.Full UK driving license.Note: This description is intended to be a guide of what duties are most likely to be but should not be taken as a definitive list.
