Employer Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust Employer type NHS Site Oak Ward Town Shrewsbury Salary £37,338 - £44,962 pa pro rata Salary period Yearly Closing 21/05/2025 23:59Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse - Older Adults Ward Band 6 Job overview Are you a Mental Health Nurse with supervisory or leadership experience?You will be joining our Older Adults and Dementia Mental Health Oak Ward at The Redwoods Centre, Shrewsbury. Oak Ward is an assessment ward mainly covering Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.We provide care for males and females with possible or diagnosed organic mental illnesses. We also care for older adults with a functional mental health diagnosis. You will be responsible for leading by example to junior colleagues within the team, acting as Nurse in Charge of the ward and providing clinical leadership.Main duties of the jobParticipate in setting and agreeing on clinical and educational standards for the service, and develop systems to enable such standards to be measured and evaluated.Develop effective communication within your area of responsibility and promote positive working relationships with individuals, departments, and other care agencies within the community.
