Job Description The role of the IT Specialist is to focus on IT operation stability and performance while adhering to IT industry best practices and providing excellent customer service. The IT Specialist will oversee incidents, requests, problems, and deployments efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with all internal and external guidelines and regulations, particularly ALDI IT governance, while fostering a cooperative working environment. Your New Role Determine the priority of support cases based on business impact. Create and coordinate project deployment plans. Prioritize deployment tasks according to their impact on the project plan. Advise international partners on recurring IT incidents and problems in GB/IE. Test new IT hardware and software, collaborating with ALDI DX for integration into the GB/IE estate. Work with key stakeholders to ensure smooth rollout of new applications or hardware. Coordinate with external vendors to optimize application and hardware performance in the ALDI estate. Provide second-level remote and onsite support via ServiceNow tickets. Manage stock of IT hardware. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure business stability and peak performance. Test hardware and software updates before deployment. Assist with hardware installation under the guidance of the central IT team. Install VC equipment and meeting room IT equipment. Manage ALDI’s VOIP telephony solutions across offices, regions, and stores. Assist with troubleshooting IT hardware issues. Coordinate downtime for IT maintenance at designated locations. Oversee upgrade rollouts and address problems during implementation. Take ownership of major incidents or ongoing issues, driving resolution and keeping management informed. Ensure compliance with deadlines, SLAs, policies, legal obligations, and regulatory standards. Process invoices related to IT responsibilities following company procedures. Maintain IT assets, warranties, repairs, licenses, and controls. Adhere to the ALDI GB & IE code of conduct. About You Previous IT experience. Experience with VOIP systems. Experience with hardware/software deployment. Experience delivering video conferencing solutions. Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Helpdesk experience. Knowledge of IT hardware. What You’ll Get in Return Salary starting at £36,765, rising to £53,200. Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with potential for 2 remote days per week after passing probation. 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays. Flexible in-office working hours.
