Supporting community enterprise ROLE PROFILE Incubation Support Associate(May 2025) Overview We are Trampoline NH CIC , a social enterprise that provides business incubation services, supports community enterprises, and promotes ethical leadership in SMEs, in underserved communities. We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Incubation Support Associate to provide tailored support, conduct market and industry research, and deliver one-to-one and one-to-many (scheduled and on-demand) services across our business incubation programmes. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting early-stage businesses and a strong understanding of entrepreneurship. Experience in the retail and food sectors is highly desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will work with us at least 4 days per week, helping entrepreneurs address their specific needs and connect with relevant external support networks and services. The job The role will focus on delivering the following outputs: 1.Provide information, advice, and guidance (IAG) support. 2.Enable clients to identify their business challenges and address them. 3.Help entrepreneurs scale up their ventures and make them more sustainable. 4.Research trends and opportunities within the retail, food, and beverage sectors. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills, knowledge, experience, and aptitude to ·Create a schedule of support services. ·Deliver workshops and bespoke business coaching and mentoring sessions. ·Signpost service users to relevant organisations for additional support. ·Collaborate with other colleagues to ensure a smooth delivery of all our incubation programmes. They will also have a positive attitude and entrepreneurial mindset, and the willingness to grow with us in this exciting phase of our development. Conditions ·Hours: Up to 28 hours per week across 3-4 days. ·Salary: pro rata of £29,000. ·Pension contribution: employer (3%) and employee (minimum 5%). ·Annual leave entitlement: pro-rata of 25 days FTE. ·Term: 12 months, renewable (subject to contract extension and meeting KPIs). ·Location: Hybrid; from our offices at St Peter’s Church SE17, The Enterprise Hub SE1, from community settings, and from home. ·Proposed start date: June 2025. ·Accountable to: Head of Programmes. JOB DESCRIPTION 1.Bespoke Business Incubation Support ·Provide tailored support to early-stage entrepreneurs, to address their individual challenges across a variety of sectors (including retail, food, beverages, beauty, services and others). ·Provide tangible solutions to issues around: oProduct packaging, testing, and compliance. oNavigating supply chains and improving operational efficiency. oBusiness planning and strategic development. oFinancial management and profitability. oIdentifying funding and scaling opportunities. oCustomer acquisition and engagement strategies. oBranding and marketing execution. ·Leverage industry-specific knowledge to help entrepreneurs develop sustainable and scalable business models that align with market demands. ·Offer actionable solutions and insights drawn from real-world industry practices. 2.Research & Industry Insight Conduct comprehensive research across a broad range of sectors in the UK and worldwide, to: ·Stay current on market trends, consumer behaviour shifts, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes. ·Identify grants, loans, and funding opportunities for businesses within these sectors. ·Create a dynamic resource library to support service users with actionable information. ·Provide insights to help clients capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks specific to their industry. 3.Training and Mentoring Support ·Design and deliver interactive training sessions tailored to start-up needs across various industries, focusing on Marketing, Operational Planning, Partnership Building, Compliance, Sustainability, and Business Ethics. ·Provide 1:1 business coaching to help entrepreneurs progress from conceptual to piloting, and operational. ·Continuously review and update course materials to reflect industry trends, participants’ feedback, and best practices. ·Motivate cohort members, ensuring they stay engaged, focused, and on track for achieving their business goals. ·Support the overall delivery of Trampoline’s incubation programmes. ·Help refine our course contents to keep them relevant, current, and impactful. ·Gather and analyse customers’ feedback to ensure high-quality services. ·Deliver IAG outputs to enhance users’ experience through their start-up journey. 5.Signposting and Networking ·Identify key ecosystem partners across multiple industries to establish effective referral networks. ·Refer and signpost entrepreneurs to Trampoline’s other services. ·Connect entrepreneurs with external resources. ·Curate networking events and community initiatives to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem. ·Expand and strengthen our start-ups ecosystem and curate additional support outputs when needed. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS We are looking for an excellent communicator, a dynamic, committed, and enthusiastic individual with a strong understanding of the needs of early-stage businesses. Experience in the retail, food, or beverage sectors is beneficial but not essential.
